Protect your hard earned assets.

Chris Hansen advises clients on the best way to protect their businesses and their estates. He advises small businesses on legal agreements and laws, and the rights and duties attached to those agreements and laws. His advice can range from advising on day-to-day procedures such as agreements for the purchase of products or services to guiding clients through major transactions such as the sale of the business.

Business and Estate Planning

Protect your business - Counseling and advise may include entity formation such as forming a corporation or other entity, intellectual property such as registering your trademarks or copyrights, contracts encompassing every known agreement you will encounter or require and pre-litigation such as negotiating settlements. I do not litigate on behalf of clients. My goal is to provide you with the necessary tools so that you never have to ask a judge to make a decision. I like to call that “Preventative Law.”

Protect your estate -  If you live in California and you own your home you need a trust.  My client’s estate plans usually consist of a trust, will, durable power of attorney for finances, and advanced healthcare directives (or living wills).  We sit down and go over your needs and desires and answer any questions you may have.  My goal is to educate my clients so that they understand what will happen to their estate, or person, if a catastrophe occurs.
